Starting MY Ageless Adventure!

Hello! This is my first post here on Ageless-Adventures. The seed of the idea for this blog started over a year ago when I and a few of my friends were invited to a destination wedding in Florida.

We wanted to attend the wedding and planned to go together. When it came to planning the travel itinerary, my friends asked me to plan the trip. We planned an extra day on the drive down from Ohio to relax so we wouldn’t feel so tired when we arrived for the wedding. I was happy to help with finding hotels and even a historic house/museum to explore at our midway stop.

During the drive to Florida, we had time to catch up and re-connect as the pandemic had kept us from many in-person occasions. One of the topics that came up was how happy they were that I had helped to plan the trip. Although they are both amazing and capable women, they were unsure where to start to plan a trip on their own.

As a now single woman in my early 60’s, I thought about how often I had wanted to travel but did not have anyone to travel with. After deciding that I wasn’t willing to wait for someone to travel with because I may never see the places I wanted to go. I started striking out on my own.

There are many more single women out there that are for one reason or another (perhaps divorced or widowed) who have never ventured out on their own. Since I had been in a variety of businesses where I traveled alone, I have become comfortable with planning and traveling. My friends encouraged me that there were many people who could benefit from my blog and travel tips.

So here I am, starting on my own adventure of building my business at 63! This is not only for me, but for YOU. What kinds of things would you like to know? I look forward to your comments.

I hope you will follow my journey and share yours as well! Are you ready to start planning YOUR Ageless-Adventures?

That is such a great story! I know singles in their 30s who don’t have anyone to travel with since most of their friends are married who could use tips like this too!

It’s about time someone is willing to help singles feel safe while traveling. I look forward to seeing more articles! 👵

    • Thanks Debbie! I will be adding tips for personal safety as well as many other issues that singles travelers may face. Let me know if there are any topics you would like to have more information on.
